The draught regulator is designed to regulate the natural draught fluctuations in a chimney system by stabilising the pressure conditions, which will result in smoother, more controlled combustion.
APPLICATION
The 012 - Draught Regulator can be used with solid fuel and gas/oil appliances.
INSTALLATION
Draught regulators are mounted onto the connecting pipe/stove pipe and must not be installed if the following would occur
- The complete and safe discharge of flue gases would be in any way impaired.
- Dangerous quantities of the flue gases could escape if the system becomes backed up or is subjected to backdraught.
- The testing and/or cleaning of the flue system would become impaired.
The principle of operation is straightforward. If there is a drop in pressure in the flue, instead of sucking in air from the top of the flue or the stove, the Draught Regulator opens to allow air in and equalise the pressure in the flue and therefore maintain an even burn.
Installation is easy. A 90° Tee fitted in line, with and Adaptor housing the Draught Regulator on the protruding spur of the pipe.
The Kutzner and Weber Draught Regulators are made to the highest standard. For over 80 years they have been market leaders. Currently partnered with the Institute for Building Physics and the Fraunhofer Society in Stuttgart, they continue to innovate and develop their products.
